Heterosis breeding for crop yield increase and stress resilience has reached a bottleneck and is not suitable for self-pollinating crops like soybeans. AICG is committed to breaking through the current bottlenecks in breeding technologies. With a focus on crops that have the native capacity to have high protein and oil contents but low yields, AICG explores and researches a new generation of breeding technologies to dramatically improve crop yields, climate resilience, and nutritional value through an integrated strategy combining multi-omics data, AI models, and synthetic biology approaches. AICG’s efforts aim to alleviate food security issues and human health and environmental issues stemming from excessive reliance on animal proteins.
